ARTICLE 14 CODE OF ETHICS
14.01 Joining the TIKO Club as a member signifies acceptance of the Code of Ethics.
14.02 TIKO Club members accept the “CKC Member Code of Ethics” and TIKO Club member breeders, the “Code of Practice for CKC Member Breeders” which can be located at the CKC web site: www.ckc.ca
14.03 In addition to the two CKC Codes identified above, TIKO members adopt and adhere to the following “Values and Principles”. Values:  Respect for fellow Club members and for all participants at Club functions  Volunteerism - support various Club functions  Mentoring - with mentoring, new members will continue to promote and preserve our breeds Education:  Keep informed of advances in science, technology, training methods, etc. to better care for our breeds Stewardship:  The responsibility to care for our dogs and the breeds as a whole. Principles: Club members will:  Support and encourage appropriate decorum at all Club activities;  Support conflict resolution when disputes or disagreements arise between Club members;  Endeavour to prevent breeding animals from becoming part of breeding programs that do not adhere to all standards of the CKC;  Refrain from euthanizing any healthy puppy that does not meet with the breed standard;  Educate the public, and breeders, with regard to the proper care and control of intact animals as part of responsible ownership.
